The transfer dealings at White Hart Lane
The transfer window always reminds me of Christmas. Full of expectation, excitement and then suddenly it becomes something an anti-climax once it is over. Some are happy with their presents, while others are left seething at the lack of effort that was put in. City fans are undoubtedly happy with their lot this summer, although others are bound to be disappointed.
It has been a relatively quiet transfer window as clubs remain cautious with their transfer spending, given the current climate. Chairman may have had little option but to be prudent, but it doesn’t stop supporters feeling slightly disappointed that a few more gambles haven’t taken place. Surprisingly a lot of managers have actually been sympathetic towards the situation, highlighting the curse of high wages that has made transfer dealings all the more difficult, rather than bemoaning the lack of backing from their club chairman, while others have simply made the best out of the stagnant transfer market, negotiated well and brought in some real bargains.
So how has Tottenham’s transfer window been and have you been disappointed by the progress that has been made? Was there any real need for Harry to strengthen in the first place? Do you foresee any last minute deals in the last 24hrs of the transfer window?

Very unhappy, I didn’t want lots of signings just a world class Striker, someone to cover CB (Gallas) and a replacement for Jenas who still wears a Spurs shirt!! Its killing me.

i agree dis is the worse transfer window iv ever seen only 4 the reason that the fact were after qualifieing 4 the champions league and for that fact we need sum1 that can score goals, plus id like 2 see a decent champions league experianced midfielder like diarra or sum1 cum in 2 b4 the window shuts,if we can get a the two of those type of players b4 the window shuts ill be a happy man,if not im afraid 2 say we will struggle in the champions league without a decent scorer and commanding midfielder and if we get injuries 2 the likes of hudds and modric and defoe were doomed, levy get ur cheque book out 4 god sake

If spurs do not sign anyone we will struggle on all fronts. Last year we finished 4th without any European competitions to compete in and Lennon and Modric we both injured for long periods. Our strike is not good enough- the difference between us and the original top 4- Drogba, Torres, Van Persie and Rooney- Spurs dont have that striker. I think if we get Huntleaar and Young before the transfer window we might have a good season but signing no one after you have qualified for the champions league would be Harry’s first big mistake!

What a wasted opportunity..Wigan is a sound reminder of last year..we lack real quality in midfield ( modric excused) and our forwards are inconsistent game to game.Champions league or Premier league material…definatly not..without investment.

i agree with darren, fox and fred. we have our best ever chance of getting quality players in and we do fuk all ! suarez, diarra, fabiano. why aint we got a class striker in ! the most frustrating window you could ever imagine, if we had got suarez he would score 30 a season ! why leave it soo late even if we do get someone! fukin bullsh@t !
