Tottenham slump to defeat – Have Your Say!
I doubt there was a person in the land that would have predicted Tottenham’s defeat at White Hart Lane this afternoon, but such is the Jekyll and Hyde nature of the North Londoners, nothing can ever be guaranteed.
Harry Redknapp will undoubtedly be furious this evening and will be forever wondering how the same side who destroyed the Young Boys in midweek, can slump to defeat a few days later.
So where did it go wrong today, or was it simply just a bad day at the office?

Our midfield needs to be able to take control of games and our midfield need to be able to make that telling pass that can open a defence the quicker we get a parker type player the better!we spend to much time pushing the ball sideways instead of going forward we need to keep the ball instead of giving it away all to easily.

I see Keane getting stick here. He didn’t play.

Personally I think the tactics from the very start were awful. Slow out of the blocks, allowing Wigan time on the ball. It was a typical ‘just turn up and we’ll beat them’ display, the lack of punch and verve was the most annoying thing of all. Its not a new thing, Burnley, Wolves and Stoke, and any game you care to choose after the League Cup win in 08 to that seasons end. The arrogance our players show is incomprehensible but we’ve always done it season in season out. Good sides win big games, great side win all games irrespective of the opposition. That was a kick up the jacksee is there ever was!

Let’s face it. We are living in a dreamworld if we think are on the same level as arsenal. Trying to buy all their rejects shows our lack of ambition! Harry is also guilty of playing tired players. Let’s hope arsenal play kids again in carling cup cos that’s the only way we’ll beat em!

Beating Young Boys has gone to people’s heads. Cue the bragging about beating Inter and taking over from the Arse on the back of one result. Then comes the fall (at home) against a team favoured for relegation. It’s the same old Spurs for me. Someone tell Harry and the players to put a sock in it, and concentrate on the next game in hand.

I guess you’re all the same fans that were saying we will find it easy in our champions league group…..
It pisses me off how up and down our fans are! No we weren’t good enough today, not by a long shot. I do agree we need a striker, but that doesn’t mean all our srikers are crap. We broke the top four strangle hold last year with the same strikers (plus Gudjohnson, who i don’t think too many of you would think is the answer to our problems). We have brought Gallas in for the defence and are obviously still looking to bolster our squad. The fact we lost today doesn’t mean we should all go crazy, but i suppose if we win the next couple of games you’ll all think we’re world beaters again. Today was a timely reminder we still have a way to go. We’ll have days like today and we’ll have days when we look amazing, it’s football lads and we are Tottenham. Super Tottenham! We are Tottenham from the lane!! COYS
