Houllier doing enough at Villa?James Collins hooked in a vital equaliser to give Aston Villa a vital point in their attempts to beat the drop.

It was a game where defences were on top for the large part, although Aston Villa certainly missed some gilt edged chances throughout, where Gabriel Agbonlahor must still be wondering how he failed to convert a golden opportunity in the opening stages of the game. The point however will be welcomed by Gerard Houllier and the Frenchman will be hoping that the positive second half display could kick-start their season.

So how do Aston Villa fans feel about the performance today and what are the five things we learnt about Villa today?

    1. We need experienced brought in
    2. Albrighton is class
    3. A striker has to be Houlliers priority in January.
    4. We were unlucky today
    5. There are three worser teams than us in this division – The blues are one of them
