FIVE things we learnt about Tottenham Hotspur today
Tottenham managed to snatch a point at the death against Newcastle at St James’ Park today thanks to an injury time equaliser from Aaron Lennon. Harry Redknapp will feel that Spurs deserved something from the match due to the amount of play they had and will be relieved to have got just that.
In a tight first half, in which Gareth Bale went off early with a back injury, Jermain Defoe had Tottenham’s best chance. Spurs fell behind 15 minutes into the second half to a Fabricio Coloccini shot that goalkeeper Carlo Cudicini, who started in place of the injured Heurelho Gomes, could have done better with. The Italian later redeemed himself with a couple of fine saves as Spurs pressed and left themselves exposed at the back, with Luka Modric hitting the bar before Lennon netted the late equaliser.

1 – Kranjar is a better option than Pienaar
2 – We need more left side cover
3 – We need a target man/goalscoer to support Defoe
4. Barton is still a weasel
5. Hutton is still sh**e

I warned you all till i am red in the face this game was changed in the dressing room. Secondly Pienaar never had cramp playing for Everton if i can forecast we will struggle against a team who are missing a lot of players something is not right and i no why energy is being given at half time and that is a fact.

no goals and no assists to his name this season so far.
i think kranjcar is a much better player.
he will do ok for you but as cover only.

1. We need a lone striker.. I like Defoe , but i Think He’s best playing 442…
2. I Think for a first outing with a new team, Pienaar did good. Considering his gameplan probably chanced when Bale left the field.
3. Jenas would be a lot more useful if he Didn’t try so hard to impress.. We could have started a few attacks instead of him running circels around himself and opting for a difficult, nicelooking pass.
4. Redknapp said that Niko wants to leave ’cause He’s not happy playing on the right(among otherthings) why then is he placed on the right, with Lennon on the left (a natural right winger) when he finally gets a chance????(yes, i know Lennon scored from the left, but thinking about Niko here:-)
5. We can’t loose Bale and didI mention WE NEED A STRIKER that can play the lonestriker role:-)

Niko did not play on the right. Spurs moved to a 3-5-2 formation with Lennon and Hutton as wingbacks on the left and right respectively. Crouch partnered Defoe and Niko,Modric and VdV play in the centre

there are no 5 things to learn ,there are lots of things to learn,1 we have the strikers that never strike,2we are going no where with those results,3 harry dismantled the team that he builds,4 players are feeling frustrating especialy players that have bring the results last season.and finally we desperetly needs better strikers.

1.Defoe is still too unreliable although he looked like he had improve for a short while.
2.Harry is tactically inept
3. Lennon is god
4.Jenas should only play the last ten minutes of a game and that’s being kind.
5. Hutton can’t defend.
My main rant is that we miss the balance of a play maker and ball winner in mid field which could have been put right today despite Palacios’s injury. For example, Modders, Pienaar, Krancjar and Lennon.
‘Thank you Aaron Lennon’.

1. Plenaar should not have started yet, krancjar should have had his chance. If he isn’t sold, it’s only going to breed a bad camp for the remainder of the season.
2. Defoe is good, but not great and needs a lot more chances to convert.
3. Left back cover is weak, and although I like pienaar and think it’s financially good business, left back cover is far more important that left wing cover. Bale has proved his left wing credentials so why not stick with it.
4. Jenas doesn’t add anything, he is steady but nothing else, sandro should be given a chance in huddlestones absence and if not Diarra should be chased properly to complete the midfield.
5. And finally, move 5-6 players on quickly who clearly aren’t going to get in and buy a STRIKER that can score, left back cover and a decent defensive midfielder who can pass the tottenham way!

1crouch was awful ( yes please villa )
2starting pienaar is a slap in the face to the other fringe players and bale defending????
3didn’t take advantage of a newcastle team without smith, tiote, carroll
4played well only when they had to
5keep getting screwed by one sided referees!

We can`t play Palacios And Sandro, but if Palacios i injured (like today) then we must have some steel (Sandro) on the pitch.
