Top 10 most ‘Overrated Players’ in the Premier League

This is a contentious issue. Different people see things in players that others don’t while fans are understandably always quick to stand up for their own players.

To be classed as overrated is simply for a player to be thought of as better than they actually are. This means that very good players that are labelled as legends or world beaters are overrated, as are bog-standard players who continue to play for the Premier League’s top teams each and every week.

I can guarantee that you won’t agree with a handful of these selections, but then football would be pretty boring if we all agreed!

After the Ipswich loss, the gunners will all be fired up and take it out on the poor hammers.Don’t bet your house on it.I believe the gunners one dimensional play with ball to feet 99.9% of the time in the game is to blame.
When it comes to scoring, the gunners take a long time with eleborate passing thereby giving time to defenders to gang up.
For the Hanmmers game, don’t be surprised Grant will park the bus and play rugby style.
Wenger may disagree with the fans but frankly don’t be surprised if the gunners get knocked out by Ipswich and then another spin is created.

Arsenè can’t afford to lose the all important game to the Hammer even if it means playing the rugby style.

How is Clichy overrated? He’s such a quiet professional. Outside of Arsenal, few people even talk about him. You gotta be “rated” often before being called “overrated” right? And you mention Gibbs should replace Clichy. Now that’s what you called “overrated”. Yes Gibbs got potential, but how many games had him played to justify he is better than Clichy? And Kuyt. Overrated? Again, he’s just a hardworking professional who doesn’t make much a headline. Liverpool fans never rate him anyway. A player like this how on earth anyone could label him as “overrated”? The top choice is simple to me – Wayne Rooney. Just look at his goals this season, pathetic for a so called world class striker, England’s best player. If he’s England’s best player, England are in trouble.

    This list is crap.
How is Dirk Kuyt more overrated than Rooney and Bale.
He is a class player for his country and team but I guess your just another Liverpool hater.
Oh yeah and Robbie Keane is not overrated plus he has scored over 51 goals for his country and that is something Charlton and Linicker could not do for England.
    Get your facts right.
