The Three Key Picks in West Brom’s six-pointer

Carlos Vela, due to make his west Brom debut this eveningTonight sees West Brom take on Wigan at The Hawthorns in what could easily be classed as a six pointer. The game is live on sky so I will be watching it, but as a neutral I’m going to spice it up with a bit of a financial incentive, playing the Picklive Fantasy Football game, I’ve become addicted to.

If Wigan manage to get a victory tonight they will go level with W.B.A on points. It is the type of game where both sides have to come out and try to win, with this in mind I think there will goals. West Brom will be bound to attack at home and I fancy a few.

After a bright start West Brom are now struggling, but one player who is going from strength to strength in 2011 is Peter Odemwingie who has now notched up 7 league goals, while Chris Brunt has managed a fantastic 10 assists and 2 goals. He is a great one to pick if you think West Brom will score as he takes corners, free kicks and penalties.

It will be Carlos Vela’s debut for West Brom tonight, I don’t fancy him here but he is one I am worried about not choosing. I will be staying away from West Brom defenders as they have only kept 2 clean sheets all season!

For Wigan, Rodallega and N’Zogbia are the two stand-out performers offensively having been both top goal scorers and key contributors. If Wigan get a goal at any stage of the game, one of these two is likely to be involved.

The other option I fancy is Ben Watson who has been their penalty taker this year. Cleverly is out injured so he is likely to start, and I can see a penalty tonight. Wigan are more likely to get a clean sheet but I don’t see it happening.

I’ll be picking Odemwingie, Rodallega and Watson, I love a wild card in Picklive. If you can see anything else happening, perhaps am N’Zogbia brace or Vela goal, then why not play against me and prove it? With a Picklive FREE TRIAL it makes sense to intensify the game and make a little bit of dollar in the process.
