Premiership logoWith the plaudits of Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere and Aston Villa’s on loan full back Kyle Walker both impressing in the Premier League, what other youngsters will make the step to the big time from the Football League? In recent seasons we have seen the likes of Andy Carroll, Theo Walcott and Victor Moses all impress in the Football League and earn big money moves so can the following list of ten be considered for the same success?

In conducting the list it was important to focus on players who are playing for their current clubs but you can’t ignore the vast amount of young talent on loan at teams across the Football League. To make it fair however, only players on loan who haven’t had significant Premier League experience were considered. Do you highly rate a youngster in the Football League? Think they are Premier League quality? Then let me know on Twitter @verbal_football

Honorable mentions go to: Joe Allen (Swansea City), Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (Southampton), Ched Evans (Sheffield United), Lewis McGugan (Notts Forest) and Nick Powell (Crewe Alexandra).
