Blackburn Rovers v Tottenham Hotspur – Who’s Your Money On?

An interesting game at Ewood Park tonight as both sides crashed out of the FA Cup at the weekend and both managers will be looking for a strong reaction from their sides. Rovers strengthened their squad on deadline day but the two new foreign additions will not feature. Spurs on the other hand failed to make any signings to a squad that is starting to look thin.

A crisis in the Spurs defence could see Jonathan Woodgate return to the side after 14 months out with a groin injury. Michael Dawson is suspended, William Gallas is doubtful whilst King and Kaboul are still injured. It’ll be a very interesting selection for Harry Redknapp to make if his Tottenham team are to get a result. Despite their crisis in defence, Spurs still boast an attractive attacking line of players which might force them to go for broke.

Blackburn will be without Santa Cruz who picked up an injury in their Cup defeat at Villa, whilst solid defender Ryan Nelsen faces a fitness test. New manager Steve Kean has taken the side up to 8th position in the league since his job promotion but their league form suggests inconsistency.

Prediction: 3-3
