Arsenal missed out on the opportunity to cut the gap between them and Manchester United at the top of the Premier League table to just one point, as they were held to a goalless draw by Sunderland at the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal were largely off the pace in the first half, but Arsene Wenger will feel that in the second half his team had more than enough chances to earn all three points. Samir Nasri and Marouane Chamakh were both denied by the woodwork as Arsenal pressed for the winner, but Sunderland held firm at the back and could have even won it, but for a fine save from Wojciech Szczesny. It was one of those days for Arsenal, and one they might look back come the end of the season as a telling one in the Premier League title race.

So what FIVE things did we learn about Arsenal today?

we learned yet again England has the worst referee and linesmen in world football…shocking display from the ref and his officials, clear pen from a cheating bramble and a goal disallowed for offside that was onside.
FIFA just decided to ban those neck things…why don’t they discuss real issues like video refs for offside…Come on FIFA you are a farce

Dave you are spot on mate.Arsenal did all they could but the match officials had a different game plan. What a shame to the English game!!!If Arsene Wenger would rightfully comment on the poor officiating he will be punished, but these heartless officials make such shameful decisions and no one dare touch them.So what is the point of teams preparing so hard when the final men in charge of officiating in these games come with their minds already made up on the outcome of the game. This is really frustrating. Who will deliver us from this great wickedness?
