Kenny Dalglish’s remodeling at Anfield means the Liverpool boss will have plenty of options for his starting XI come the start of the season.

Whilst the players who are surplus to requirements will try and be sold and some will undoubtedly be left with places on the bench, what would be Liverpool’s ideal starting XI next season?

    Yes i agree.
    Reina
    Kelly. carragher Skrtel. Johnson

    Lucas. Adam
    Gerrard

    Suarez. Downing
    Carrol

This leaves healthy backup with the likes of agger, aurelio, flannagan, robinson, kuyt, meireles, aquilani, maxi, shelvey, spearing, henderson, ngog, coady? Morgan? Sterling? All fighting for a place on the bench! Not forgetting this could easily be changed to 442, bringing in a more attack minded player and dropping a holding midfielder. Its great we have many options. Very optimistic and excited. Come on reds!

You need to brush up on your command of the English language. The 2nd paragraph – “Whilst the players who are surplus… starting XI next season?” – implies that the players who are surplus will try to sell themselves.

Just two short paragraphs and you couldn’t even make sense of what you had written.

Gerrard is injured, so Meireles will play unless sold. A left-footed left back will be obtained, and Aggar will play as much as Carragher, Otherwise you’re about right.
