Bolton boss looks to tie up quartet

The Mirror is reporting that Bolton manager Owen Coyle trying to complete deals for a quartet of players this week.

Coyle is looking to strengthen the Trotters after a lackluster end to last season that coincided with the heavy FA Cup semi final defeat to Stoke City.

Free agent Nigel Reo-Coker is set to sign a three-year deal and undergo a medical today. His signing will provide competition for Fabrice Muamba in the Wanderers engine room.

The former Aston Villa midfielder had an offer from Championship side Ipswich but opted to move to the Reebok after speaking to Coyle.

Burnley’s Chris Eagles and Tyrone Mears are set to join Reo-Coker at Bolton with Coyle raiding his former club for the duo.

A £2.75 million deal has been agreed with both players set to leave Turf Moor and reunite with their former manager.

The Trotters chief will now turn his attentions to a striker to offset the loss of Johan Elmander with Liverpool’s David N’Gog high on his wish list.

However he will not meet the £6 million asking price set on the Frenchman’s head and could instead turn his attentions to Cameron Jerome.

The Birmingham forward will be available for a small fee as Birmingham look to slash the wage bill in the wake of relegation.
