A positive end to the last campaign under Roy Hodgson has got the Baggies bouncing once again. A fantastic 11th placed finish raised the optimism ahead of the new season with Hodgson doing some decent business in the transfer market. Ben Foster has come in to replace error-prone Scott Carson whilst Zoltan Gera has returned to the Hawthorns three years after leaving. But the biggest signing of them all has been Shane Long. Hodgson had to fend off interest from numerous Premier League clubs to land the prolific Republic of Ireland star and he is expected to fire the Baggies to new heights next season. With the likes of Peter Odemwingie, Chris Brunt and Youssuf Mulumbu all still at the club it could be an exciting season as they look to avoid going down in their second season and finally shake the tag of being a yo-yo club.
Manchester United have spent big on some quality players after losing a few of their veterans in pre-season. Both Edwin Van der Sar , Paul Scholes and Gary Neville retired in the summer although their replacements aren’t too bad. David de Gea takes over the number one jersey in goal although his Community Shield performance has already got people asking questions about his abilities to cope in the top flight. Ashley Young and Phil Jones on the other hand are proven Premier League performers and will provide the basis for Sir Alex Ferguson’s new team along with Wayne Rooney and Javier Hernandez. Just missing a midfield playmaker that will guarantee they’ll take home another title.
Despite West Brom’s success last season they’ll start this campaign off with a defeat. The Champions came from two behind to beat rivals City in last Sunday’s Community Shield and will be at their most rampant come Sunday afternoon.

You never know what’s going to be the result in football, Manchester United are a great team, but West Bromwich Albion are more than capable of beating them. I would never predict scorelines or have a bet. Nobody is that good!

0-3,west bronm lost to man utd 1-2 at hime last season,missed a penalty,should have had another 1,when gary neville should of been set off,also they were the only team to take a point at old trafford.0-3,we shall see
