The early stages of this season have thrown up some star individual performances and stunning, high scoring football, but some players still have doubts next the their name when it comes to performances and need to improve to meet expectations.

Whether it is a loss in form, an expensive transfer or a reputation as a youngster, many players have a lot to live up to this season and here is a list of the players that need to do just that.

    There is not a particular order, but you are right, of course a dissapointing list would not be the same without him.
