England manager Fabio CapelloEngland manager Fabio Capello has stated that he will send his team out in Montenegro looking for three points, despite knowing that a draw will send The Three Lions to Euro 2012.

After victories over Bulgaria and Wales in their last qualification matches, England sit on top of Group G and will know that a point will ensure their place at the tournament in Ukraine and Poland next year.

Despite this, the Italian coach has admitted he wants his team to have a positive attitude and go all out for the win.

“We are going to win this game, not for the draw,” he stated to FATV.

“If you play for a draw it is a big mistake. You are not focused on the game. You are playing to defend the result.

“When you do that you make some silly mistakes. You need to play the same style as all the other away games,” he said.

Capello also admitted to speaking with countryman Giovanni Trapattoni regarding the fixture, after the Republic of Ireland played out a 0-0 draw in Podgorica in the recent past.

“Giovanni told me to be careful in every moment,” he continued.

“He told me to be careful when we are at the hotel, when we go onto the pitch, when we are in the dressing rooms, even when we are in the corridor.

“He said something can always happen. For us, it will be different to what we are used to. We have to be ready for anything,” Capello concluded.
