Carlos Tevez is a wanted man in January

Manchester City exile Carlos Tevez has been the subject of more rumours, with a January move to Italy or Brazil on the cards.

The Argentina international has not featured for Roberto Mancini’s side since allegedly refusing to come off the bench against Bayern Munich in the Champions League on September 27th.

The Etihad Stadium outfit recently fined the forward four week’s wages, and a move away from the Premier League club in the new year looks increasingly likely.

Tevez was close to leaving Manchester in the summer, but the club’s asking price of £40 million proved a stumbling block for the mercurial striker’s suitors.

However, The Telegraph indicate that City are willing to drop their asking price to £25 million come January to force a quick sale, with Corinthians willing to pay this fee to bring him back to South America.

The Brasileiro outfit had tabled a bid close to £40 million in the summer, and are happy to offer the new lower rate when the transfer window reopens.

Meanwhile, Mirror Football indicate that the want-away goalscorer could be on his way to Napoli, with countryman Ezequiel Lavezzi heading in the opposite direction.

City have been admirers of Lavezzi for some time, and a straight swap deal is being touted in the press.

With Tevez not even considered by Mancini since the pair’s spat, it seems that it is only a matter of time before the Premier League says farewell to the controversial hitman.

Tevez has unfinished business here in England, yes the lad is the definition of the word mercenary, that being said no other mercanary that has arrived on these shores has put in as much work & shere effort as this kid & lest we not forget the fact that he is a supremely gifted footballer !! I for one would love him at the Arsenal, but I fail to see a way we could possibly accomidate his salary in our wage structure, but his goals & work ethic would markedly increase our potential for some silverware come may ! & with him not being picked by city in the champions league, should mean he will be availble for selection in Europe by any potential new employers ! & world class strikers who are available for the champions league in the january are few & far between !
