Atangana confirms Arsenal interest

Last month it was reported that Arsene Wenger sent scouts to Italy in order to run the rule over Padova’s attacking midfield sensation Ousmane Drame .

Well, new reports now suggest that the Gunners are in fact edging closer to signing the 19-year-old Serie B star after the player’s agent recently revealed that talks between the two clubs are still ongoing over a possible transfer.

Drame’s agent, George Atangana , insists that he has been in contact with Wenger over his client, but also admits there is some interest from Italy as well.

He told Mediagol:

‘Arsenal ? It’s true, with the English club I’m working on him directly. Wenger and I talk about their interest.’

‘He is also liked by Fiorentina.’
