Roberto Mancini has hinted that Carlos Tevez’s Manchester City career may yet not be over, as his recent disciplinary problems would be overlooked if he apologised.

The Argentina international was suspended for two weeks and fined four weeks wages after refusing to warm up against Bayern Munich in the Champions League on September 27th.

With the Italian coach incensed, he claimed that Tevez’s time at the Etihad Stadium was over, and rumours of a January transfer have been rife.

Despite this, Mancini has offered the South American a reprieve, and claims that he may be included in the first team squad once more should he say sorry for his indiscretion.

“Everything depends on Carlos. If he apologises to the squad and to me then everything will be as before,” the ex-Inter coach told Corriere della Sera.

“If he doesn’t then Tevez has a value that everyone knows and something will happen in January. He is totally unprepared and being badly advised.

“I don’t want it to be like this and I would be the first to forgive him,” he concluded.

The ball now is seemingly in Tevez’s court, but one would think that a move once the transfer window opens would still seem likely.
