Villas-Boas and Dalglish set for transfer disappointment as Dane eyes move

Denmark international Christian Eriksen, who has been linked with Chelsea and Liverpool, has said that he would like to play for Barcelona.

The Ajax playmaker, 19, claimed that it would be a “dream” to play for the Spanish giants and that his style would suit that of the 2011 Champions League winners.

“I think most footballers dream of Barcelona,” said Eriksen.

“We’ll see what happens when the time comes to leave Ajax. Barcelona’s style speaks to me very much.

“A transfer to Barcelona would be great, but I have enough challenges with Ajax. I am patient and I’m in absolutely no hurry.”

Both Chelsea and Liverpool appear to remain keen on Eriksen but would have to hope Barcelona don’t show any interest.
