Top TEN worst ‘thought out transfers’ in recent times

Having just finished an article about panic buys in the transfer window, it got me to thinking about the worst thought out transfers of all time – by this I don’t just mean the standard flops we see every season, but ones that you look back on and think ‘why?’ either from the players perspective, or that of the club.

It is not to say the player is not a quality one, just that the transfer was wrong club wrong time, for whatever reason.
