Jamie Carragher has admitted that Liverpool must sort out their home form if they are to stand a chance of making the Premier League top four this season.

Kenny Dalglish’s men drew 0-0 with Stoke at Anfield on Saturday, which resulted in the points deficit between themselves and fourth place increasing to five points.

Carragher feels the Merseysiders are still in the hunt for Champions League football, but need to start winning at home.

“It wasn’t the result that we wanted but Stoke are a tough nut to crack and they have proved that a lot of times this season,”

“They have got a very strong back four and unfortunately we couldn’t break them down.

“It’s been a problem a few times at Anfield this season.

“We need to sort that out before the end of the season to get to where want, which is obviously the top four.

“We had a good result a couple of days ago and we wanted to build on that.

“It is a bit of a come down from Wednesday but we have had that plenty of times this season.

“People have been disappointed with some results but then we have got a result that people don’t expect.

“We are still up there, very close to the top four,” he concluded.

Liverpool travel to take on Bolton at the Reebok Stadium next Saturday.
