Hi, I have been a Chelsea fan since I was 8. The first game I saw was us lose 4-0 to Man Utd in the '94 Cup Final, and I have loved them ever since. My most memorable game is Chelsea beating Liverpool 4-2 in the FA Cup in '97 after being 2-0 down at half time. Paolo Maldini is the best a footballer can get and what others should aspire to be.

While both part of successful Chelsea squads, Salomon Kalou and John Obi Mikel have never quite managed to win over the entire Chelsea following. Both established members of the senior squad, they get plenty of games each season, and yet their performances still create a divide as fans oscillate…

FIVE reasons for Tottenham fans to be optimistic

It’s been a mixed bag for Tottenham so far this season. They could have easily battered Manchester City on the opening day, but failed to get the win, they had a horror show in Switzerland before rescuing the tie, and then there was the loss to a wounded Wigan…

What happened to the clean sheets?

Thank heavens for Birmingham and Liverpool, I was beginning to question my judgement. The goalless draw at St Andrews prevented Blackpool from staying as the only team with a clean sheet for this round of Premier League fixtures. So far this season, the water-tight defences have struggled to create…

Footballers and Twitter – a match made in hell?

Footballers do not need twitter accounts. Nothing good can come from a professional player having, and using on a regular basis, a twitter account. I appreciate that all people are entitled to freedom of speech, and it would be wrong to dictate what people should and should not do. Lots…

The worst captain the Premier League has seen?

Every club needs a leader. At least one man who can stand up and take responsibility, who can drive a team on, who can lead by example. Steve Bruce has decided that his man at Sunderland is Lee Cattermole. So far this season, Cattermole has played three games, and…

Hold on to your hats, it coming again. If you have enough time and reserve to contain your excitement, make sure you are prepared for ‘The Battle of Britain’!! Dun dun duhhh!! Straight off the bat, I can totally understand that this is a big deal for Rangers, in the…

Fan power swaying Sir Alex, whatever next?

So Wayne Rooney was spared the wrath of the Goodison crowd and Manchester United failed to take home three points. How much these two facts correlate is disputable; the erratic and nervy United defending was a far greater factor in the surrender to the Everton pressure last Saturday. There…
