Ciao (that means hello in italian) Dov has given me the responsibility of writing the blog for this weeks scintiliating instalment of our Italian Football FanCast, the finest FanCast of them all. I have undertaken this duty very seriously, honest! On this weeks show we discuss all the games in what was a very high scoring weekend including the top fixture, 2nd place Juventus hosting 3rd place AC Milan. In the news segment, Italian Prime Minister and Milan patron Silvio Berlusconi raises the eyebrows of Rosseneri fans, the future return of Buffon and the weeks transfer rumours are discussed. Of course Italian Football FanCast favorite Maurizio Zamparini always has something to say. As ever we reveal our players, winners and losers of the week. Also included in this weeks Legends of Calcio is a special surprise for you all Italian football devotee's, see if you can spot it and let us know. As usual we then preview the forthcoming weekends fixtures including stand out games, AC Milan vs Udinese and Sampdoria Vs Fiorentina. However, there has been a crisis in the world of Italian Football FanCast, our loyal and dedicated producer ... Andy is leaving us (for the forseeable future). We give him a special send off, where you the listener can hear the voice of the man behind the mixing desk! Don't forget this weeks question is "Which Italian stadium inspired Deepdale, home of Preston North End". Remember listeners, don't use wikipedia, thats cheating (we don't need another Calciopoli). Email your answers to italianfootballfancast@googlemail.com Hope you enjoy the show, Ciao! (that also means goodbye) DaveĀ |
