My United Signings for this summer

Posted by: Prem Kr, Sat 19th Apr 2008
Manchester United -Transfers in this Summer Sir Alex had just announsed his budget for this summer and he hinted to a possible amount of 40 million euros. If I were Sir Alex Ferguson this is what I would Have Done. I've Listed a few players who can make our United team more Deadly and Strong. These are not impossible transfers and Fergie would not regret these signings. 1)According to me they will have to sign a centre half as good as vidic which can provide cover in case of any injury to any of our existing duo ( rio & vidic ). For me the perfect signing would be Lescott from everton because he is young and sharp defensively and attackingly. 2) The second thing United need is a dynamic midfielder. Some may question why because we have the best midfield in the world. Well the Reason is age factor. Scholes & Giggs will only be for 1 or 2 years and after that they will hang their boots. That's Why United need one midfielder who could create something on his own. The Perfect Signing would be Diego From Werder bremen Because he is very talented and his creativity is marvellous and he could form a great partnership with Anderson. 3) The third signing we need is a player who can play anywhere on the Left. Because I don't think we have any player who is comfortable on left wing other than Giggs. For me the perfect replacement for Giggs woulde Be Gareth Bale because he is young ,has tremendous pace and very good touch of the ball. 4)Also I think adding one young goal scorer to the squad would be fantastic. The perfect one would be Sergio Aguero from Atletico Madrid. If you have any more olayers or you think these players aren't good enough then please leave your comments with your target players for next season.

The first thing you should
The first thing you should do is support your local team. Second thing, realise that Man Utd are the Tesco's of football. Their sole aim is making money out of brainwashed mugs the world over. Thirdly: They don't care about history or tradition - they have nearly destroyed first the League Cup and then the FA Cup through their relatively recently acquired apathy towards both competitions. There will come a point when they will do the same to the Premier League and the European Cup. They rip the heart and soul out of every other club by buying their best players - e.g. Wayne Rooney. Where is the skill in this? They'd rather brainwash a million Koreans about their hyped up cod-history than let the Koreans have a chance of producing their own decent football clubs and producing their own decent teams and dreams. Why should people in Asia support them? Let them develop their own super-clubs. Let them compete. Finally, realise that it is no coincidence that their mascot is the devil himself. The modern Man United, 1990 onwards,is an utterly soulless club that thinks it can [*@!$] other clubs for its plastic glory. You've clearly fallen into the trap, my friend. Do yourself a favour and become a proper supporter of a real club such as FC United or Watford...or just buy up all the best players and kid yourself that you have taken part in a fair race. There's no glory in that. Whatsoever.

A strong centre forward in
A strong centre forward in the drogba mould, preferably benzema but i think thats a no-go this summer. Also an attacking midfielder that will replace scholes, anderson is a different type of player altogether, someone like Kaka, preferably Kaka himself, realistically....Kaka, milan aren't going to be in the champions league...you just never know! Finally, another centre half!

I doubt very much that
I doubt very much that Lescott is the answer to any defensive problems at all. All the Evertonians pressured for him 2 get a game 4 England and then he failed that test miserably. Granted he has had a good season but he is nowhere near good enough to play for United.

Need a defender, now thats a
Need a defender, now thats a joke, we have plenty of quality defenders and enough to back them up, depending on if gary neville returns to his previous ability a young right back would be useful apart from that defense is set, we are not exactly short of midfielders either, scholes, giggs, carrick, hargreaves, anderson, nani, ronaldo, fletcher, park, even o'shea, rooney and tevez have been used as midfielders this season. Up front is where we need more depth, saha is to injury prone and if something was to happen to rooney or tevez it would leave utd struggling a little, they signed manucho in january but who knows how well he will do is he another dong fanzhou? Utd need a another goal scorer. their are 2 men i think who could be good signings if they are looking to splash the cash then huntelaar from ajax would do a fine job, however would he be happy with sitting on the bench. The other man i think could do a good job is the man who scored the stunning bicycle on the weekend. yes dean ashton, he is big powerful and would be available at a reasonable price or maybe in swap deal involving saha and some cash.

Now you may think manutd is
Now you may think manutd is a souless club who only in it for the money. Guess what that is what sports is all about now a days in order to preform you got to make money buy the big players if you want to win. Personally I have something against that but to say that I should go and support a lower league club and forget a club I supported when I first saw english football is ludicrous. If things arent going the way you want the first option is not to run away, the first option is to stay and fight for your club while supporting players some of which are mighty loyal. Now as for support a league in your own country, some people are not as close minded as you I can bet you only watch football when your team is involved. I am not like that I love football and wherever it is played I will watch and choose a team and support. In case youre wondering I do support my league I may not have a team but I do watch it as even though its not that excitiing I love football and will watch a match as long as I have time. I am from Jamaica and whenever they play I got their back but there is football where Jamaica isnt involved and my second team is England cause it is my next home and hence through family I got to supporting united. Anyway Hope you get what I am saying, even if you dont agree atleast you heard what a true united fan feels. I am Jamaican by birth and proud of it too

Concerning what we need Not
Concerning what we need Not sure what some people are smoking. Defense IS a worry - Gary Nev was out most of last season and could be done. Evra's contract is up next year. Pique and Silv have left and Hargreaves is playing in defence for us. Videc, Evra and Rio all missed games last year. That leaves us with starting line up of Brown, Rio, Videc and Evra. With back ups of Neville (if he comes back) and well no one really unless we use the up and coming ......... again no one. What I would love to see is another unpredictable Ferguson signing, another player I have not heard alot about (e.g Dennis Irwin or Videc) who just does his job. I am glad Alves has gone off the market I was afraid we were going to get a hothead who can hit a long one from time to time. (30 million Euros - your having a laugh) Midfield seems strong, correct me if I am wrong but we have, Giggs, Ronaldo, Carrick and Hargreaves to mix with Anderson, Nani, Fletcher, Oshea (yes he is a midfielder not a defender), Park not to mention Scholes. Ronaldo may be leaving but thats another conversation. Attack - Rooney and Tevez with Saha on his way out. Doesn't take a mastermind to see they need help even if the Nigerian wonder (who has visa issues) can make it or if you count Ronaldo as a striker. Depending on if Ronaldo stays we need two defenders and at least a striker.
