Never mind the Credit Crunch its the "Spurs Crunch" and all the confidence is gone

Posted by: Oldson, Tue 7th Oct 2008

If your a spurs fan with major shares invested I dont think it can get any worse can it than it does at the moment.  I opened my copy of my paper and saw my beloved spurs sitting bottom of the table and the one win and we are out of it door firmly shut. Infact I haven't been able to watch any of the highlights this weekend due to the constanct sick feeling in the pit of my stomach.

Yes It really happening, spurs the team that never quite gets it right is getting it totally wrong. I've supported this club since i was 7. I'm 29 now and in my lifetime this as bad as it gets. It's worse than that swiss bloke Gross, its worse then Francis its worse than having Steve Maclaren and Glen Roeder as a coaching team.

I finally now know what it feels like to be the worst club in the league. Many a rival fan has often thought it and this time I don't have an answer. People seem to be chewing this over all the time and everybody gets the blame. Comoli seems to be the fall guy this time around, Levy darent push his prized manager just yet even though the answer is staring him in the face. I listened to Poyet the other day and wanted to physically remove him from the television and spend the night beating him with a wet fish until he grew some minerals. Anyone would think we just came up from the championship and we are just happy to make up the numbers rather than a club that had serious intentions at the beginning of the season. We are only 7 games in and its been ripped apart. Spurs in Ocotober and the word survival are not an easy pill to swallow but due to laurel and hardy on the touchline I can't se eit changing.

Spurs needs to stop being Levy's - I appreciate the time and money the guy has pumped in but even I'd be a bit miffed if all I had was a carling cup and a squad which in hindsight is starting to look overpriced and out of place. Just sell the club to a sound investor who has a fresh pair of eyes, somebody who can walk in a sack the lot of them rather than having to keep a manger to save face.

Prehaps in an uefa game levy can come on at half time announce he is selling the club, that has about as much class as our football at present and the actions of our chairman but probably the classest thing he could do at the moment.

Daniel levy has made
Daniel levy has made mistakes but he still has chance to rectify this by sacking comolli and putting either venables or jimenez in his role. Newcastle may have not realised the qualities he has but we could. Venables however would be a big fan fave and may help boost morale. Levy has undoubtedly put lots of money into the club and placed a lot of faith in comolli. For a time it appeared to be working but this summer comolli messed up big time. Knowing berbatoss and keane were on way he should have had players lined up. Last ditch attempts for doyle ashton and heskey which were roumoured stunk of desperation. Instead podlski arsharvin should have been brought in. The money was there. In midfield we needed a strong midfielder not affraid of a tackle like schwienstieger nolan or barry was needed and in defence another center back. Levy was guilty of only trying to get most he could for departing berbatoss but comolli was grossly incompetent in not realising where the weaknesses in the team laid. To that end he should go. Levy is still best for spurs, as long as he realises that comolli must go. coys

the problems at spurs are
the problems at spurs are from the top down. Levy's chiefs have only one goal, to make the club a promising proposition for overseas money. Levy's hoping for a pay-out of the size that took bates away from chavski. Comolli is part of the problem, but only because it starts with Enic and Levy; Ramos inherited much of the team that was successful two years ago - he had more than the foundations at Sevilla, a luxury absent at spurs. There's no balance anywhere in the team or the formations attempted by Ramos and spurs will pay for this long in to the new year.
