Football FanCast columnist Jim Sessions wonders if Emmanuel Adebayor is set to return to Arsenal with his tail very much between his legs.

I'm sure that I am not the only Arsenal supporter that has been bemused by the carry ons at N5 this summer. It is has been one thing after another, a total circus at times and to be honest I have reached a point where I couldn't care less.

What Arsene Wenger has done to deserve such crassness and disrespect from players he has nurtured is anybody's guess. It has damaged us greatly, jeopardised next season's title push and the Frenchman is left with not only having to improve the squad, but having to replace key players from within it.

I know there is a huge lobby of Arsenal fans who feel the club have brought it all on themselves and have been made to pay for a lack of ambition, but I don't buy into that. The day you start bowing down to a players demands is the time your football club goes down the road of no return, so I applaud Hill-Wood and co for making a stand.

One player who has irritated me greatly is Emmanuel Adebayor. A series of contradicting statements from player and his agent have left a huge amount of uncertainty and subsequent left a great deal of resentment from Arsenal fans towards the player. With Ronaldinho joining Milan and Barcelona seemingly turned their attentions to Dimitar Berbatov, the Togolese striker has certainly found himself between a rock and a hard place and could well be forced to return to the club with very much his tail between his legs.

So how do Arsenal fans feel about Adebayor and will he be welcome back with open arms? There is no question that we need his qualities and with time running out you do feel that the clubs need is greater than any dispute we may have about the players loyalty.

As you say Jim the clubs
As you say Jim the clubs need is greater. We are so short of players at the moment I want Adebayor to stay.

I hope that Adebayor stays -
I hope that Adebayor stays - we need his quality upfront. I just hope that Arsene brings in Barry to shore up the midfield.

F**K that P***K! He had one
F**K that P***K! He had one good HALF a season! I hold a season ticket and see him week in week out and know exactly how he plays, If he feels like it basically like Kanu he will put in a performance! He couldnt lace Henry's boots how dare he say he wants the same wages! HENRY IS A LEGEND ADE - Better Henry in less time as Henry did to Ian wright - another LEGEND then you may win our respect back. I seriously hope ADE is not there next year I have never rated him that highly - to be honest if I was getting the service Arsenal provide I think I would score 30 goals! I think the man has a complete cheek to think he deserves so much recognition! LEGENDS OF ARSENAL ARE PLAYERS WHO LOVED AND STILL OVE ARSENAL AND KNOW WHAT IT MEANS FOR THE FANS TO KNOW THAT THEY LOVE THE CLUB AS MUCH AS US! Not you Ade, please leave, I for one will refuse to cheer your name if you are still at Arsenal next year.

I think it'll take a bit,
I think it'll take a bit, but if he keeps up his performance level, we will accept him back. I was never a huge Ade fan. He caught fire for a bit last year, but still always seemed to lack some finishing quality. He is still young and has a a lot of potential. So maybe this will humble him a bit and he will lose the attitude and continue to work hard.

Sell him to barca for 24 mil
Sell him to barca for 24 mil and get guiza or someone. ade has great moments but is a poor example to the younger players, isnt remotely clinical and cant time his runs. he only scored so many because of the awesome supply he was getting. imagine a more lethal finisher on the end of that supply. as a 'pool fan its a genuinely frightening prospect.

I don't despise Adebayor for
I don't despise Adebayor for his behaviour this summer - if he wants to casually flirt with other clubs, then fine. So long as he works hard for the team he'll get light applause from me, cricket-style, but the price he'll pay for his comments is a lack of the booming chanting of his name from the away section every time we're on the road. Next season that'll be reserved for Cesc, and Adebayor will probably find he's lost a similar amount of respect from team-mates and management.

we are not short of players
we are not short of players in any sence shape or form. i am sick to death with all this. look at the other clubs we are the best in the prem without a dought and we should win the prem. Ade is not that important i dont care what anyone says neither was hleb and neither flam, he had one good season as did ade as for hleb i think we should be thankfull. Arsen will get another central midfielder in my opinion. And sorry to the author but please tell me where you get your info from, i may be wrong but barca have made no attempt to sighn berby toff, saying seemingly makes you just like the rest of the speculators. If you buy into this nonsence then you must be laughed at. This is our season, we got more pace more enthsiasm more tecnical abillity more youth wich means desire and more intelegance than any other club in europe. i agree that wenger doesnt deserve this, and will i welcome him back with open arms, the truth is i have never rated the man and i would be happy to see him leave on a free. cast your mind back to champions leage against liverfool. theo made that fantastic run which ade had to tap in, did he run towards theo, NO he walked to the edge of the pitch to celebrate on his own as usual. for me hes just about himself, we have better strikers and even brentner will be better, if barca want him please arsen let him go, they seem to think that he will do as he did with us, how can that be they dont have wenger COME ON YOU REDS

Adebayor is a greedy,
Adebayor is a greedy, self-over-inflated idiot. He is the only African Europe-based player I've heard of fighting with his national coach over allowances ... as he did in Togo's preparations for the last World Cup.And he thinks he is equal to Henry? Didn't I read that he ran brainlessly into sixty-something offside positions in pre-season training? Is he ever going to learn before the season kicks off? I would score 55 goals last season if I played in Arsenal and had the scoring opportunities his team-mates gave him. How many did he create for himself? How many didn't he waste? Arsene, please sell him off to the Togolese champion club; he'll do very well there. For a long time, this guy has forced me into believing that the off-side rule does not exist in Togolese football.

To be honest as a footballer
To be honest as a footballer i dont mind Ade. He works hard and runs for everything. He was probably more shocked than anyone that he scored so many last season and I will eat my underpants if he get 30 again. For whomever he is playing for. If we were to get 20-30 mil for him however I would rip their arms off for it, promote the big Dane to do the job Ade was doing and look for an out and out left winger. Ade has said some very stupid thing during the summer and if he stays he will have to work very hard to win everyone round. Including hie team mates.
