Football FanCast columnist Sam Hollis looks at the latest punishments enforced on his beloved Luton Town.

Dear Football Fan,

I am writing to you to inform you of a terrible happening in the world of sport. Bizarrely, this does not include Cristiano Ronaldo in any way. Down in the deep depths of League Two, Luton Town will start the new season on an unprecedented minus 30 points.

Football FanCast columnist Joe Jennings looks at the way football has evolved since the arrival of Sky and feels it has tarnished the once beautiful game.

The implementation of Sky Sports way back in 1992, for the lower league clubs in particular; has proved an unmitigated catastrophe.

Football FanCast columnist Joe Jennings doesn't buy into Barton's remorse and cannot see this leopard changing its spots.

There are many things that I find dislikeable about football, ranging from how football clubs are run and managed; all the way down to players and supporters. But one thing I find particularly bothersome, contemptible in fact; are the modern day footballers who take everything they gain for granted, raking in huge amounts each week as others endeavour to remain afloat.

As the football season comes to a close, we are pleased to announce our Football Podcast Awards.

The Nominations so far are:

Football FanCast columnist David Brenchers reflects on Arsenal Ladies FA Cup final victory and felt it was a great advertisement for women's football.

On the hottest day of the year, in the shade of the Brian Clough Stand, Faye White lifted the FA Cup yet again. After sitting out the 90 minutes at the City Ground last season, White will be proud of her third (and Arsenal's fourth) cup victory in five years. That takes her career tally to: 8 Premier Leagues, 7 FA Cups, 5 League Cups and 1 UEFA Cup - unprecedented for any former Arsenal Captain.

The New Football FanCast Desktop!

Is the Premier League title going to the wire or what? Alan Wiley was obviously keen to ensure that there would be more twists and turns in what has been the most open title race in years. And what was going on with that scuffle on the pitch after the game? Surely the United players shouldn't take the "we shall not be moved" chant so literally. We have asked for the CCTV footage - so once it's arrived at FanCast Towers, we'll happily send you a copy.

No seriously with the season coming to an end, we all have to make do with a summer of watching athletics, indoor bowls and more cruelly a Euro Championship without England! Football FanCast Towers intend to fill this void and keep you up to date withthe latest transfer rumours with our new free desktop widget!

"The Gift Of The Gab"

Posted by: Emily Brobyn, Sun 6th Apr 2008
Football FanCast columnist Emily Brobyn meets the women that is the beacon of light which budding female football journalists look to follow.

When you are young, you have aspirations of what you would like to be when you are older. What occupation you would like to choose. Boys run around the playground at primary school pretending to be soldiers or pilots, whilst girls improvise being nurses or hairdressers. As you grow you change and mature: the boys turn into lads dreaming of being the next David Beckham, joining the school football team and hoping to be scouted. Girls grow into adolescent teenagers hoping to be the next Paris Hilton or, if they are more realistic, a school teacher or air hostess.

Football FanCast columnist Joe Jennings looks into the old age debate about who was the greatest player of all time.

It's extremely difficult to compare the two, but if pushed, there is only one winner, Pele. Three World Cups and over 1200 goals speak volumes; the man was a genius, the king.
