columnist Shaun Murphy looks at the trials and tribulations of
Darlington and wonders if they are finally set to fulfil their promise.
It's no real surprise
to see Darlington topping the League Two table at this early stage of this
season. After all, we've been here before - a promising start only to see the
Quakers fall at the final hurdle in such frustrating fashion.
Football FanCast Shaun Murphy looks at the latest rough diamond that is being polished at Barnet.
Over the years Barnet have produced their fair share of
talent. Given their obvious lack of resources compared to the rest of the
league, signing promising young talent has been crucial to the team's progress,
and the likes of Nicky Bailey, Dean Sinclair, and Jason Puncheon have all
developed at Underhill before moving onto pastures new.
Football FanCast columnist Ben Curtis takes a
look back at yesterday's League Two action.
On a day where bookings
outnumbered goals in League Two, it was Wycombe - the team that did the
opposite - who pigeon-stepped their way to the top of the table. A 3-1 victory
against second-bottom Bournemouth means Wanderers are now League 2's leaders
while avoiding the litter of yellow cards elsewhere.

takes a look back at the weekend's League Two action.
Bury and Wycombe remain
arm-in-arm at the top of League Two after the teams played out a 0-0 draw at
Gigg Lane on Saturday. Wycombe captain David McCraken's second-half header was
adjudged not to have crossed the line, leaving Wanderers' boss Peter Taylor
petitioning for an introduction of goal-line technology. "Their goalkeeper said it crossed the
line but the linesman told me he didn't see it so I'm disappointed in that
respect," Taylor told wwfc.com after the game.

Football FanCast columnist Rob Facey wonders what Newcastle can do to stop the rot from setting in after news that Michael Owen is in no hurry to sign a new contract, despite just one more year remaining on his current deal.
When Michael Owen joined Newcastle from Madrid he had been holding out for an emotional return to Anfield. He wanted to rejoin the club who let him fulfill his dreams of playing in Europe but Liverpool and Real were unable to agree a fee. Then, Newcastle stepped in.

columnist Sam Hollis is furious at the punishment handed out by
the FA, to his beloved Luton Town and feels that something doesn't quite add
up.
‘The Gentleman's Club.'
Fine men in suits, smoking cigars and drinking the finest cognac, every so
often they all share a chuckle at light joke then continue to debate issues
close to heart. However you picture the scene at FA headquarters, there is no
doubt the association has the ability to turn heads.
Football FanCast columnist Charlie Gilbert gives his weekend round-up from
League One which sees Swansea crowned champions.
Swansea were crowned League One champions on Saturday despite a 2-1 home
defeat to struggling Yeovil. Over 18,000 fans joined the party at the Liberty
Stadium - but things didn't get off to the best start for the Swans, who went
behind to Terry Skiverton's first half goal. The visitor's doubled their lead
after 60 minutes thanks to Aiden Downes' strike, but Andy Robinson put the
Welsh side back in contention with 13 minutes remaining.
