West Ham United boss Gianfranco Zola remains hopeful that he will be able to conclude a deal to bring the former Spain international Diego Tristan to Upton Park.

The 32-year-old is currently without a club after being released by Livorno and has been training with the rest of the Hammers squad since the end of last month.

West Ham United manager Gianfranco Zola has backed Robert Green to bounce back after the hapless keeper was at fault for all three of Bolton's goals as the Hammers slumped to a 3-1 defeat to Gary Megson's side at Upton Park.

His handling error gifted Bolton striker Kevin Davies the opening goal before parrying a low shot straight to Gary Cahill who netted from close range to make it 2-0.

Sheffield United captain Chris Morgan has denied reports that the club's players are planning to launch legal action against West Ham United over the Carlos Tevez affair.

Last week a series of reports emerged which suggested that up to 13 past and present Blades players could launch legal action after suffering financially following their relegation from the Premier League in 2007.
