Burnley have offered former Leeds winger Gboly Ariyibi on trial as Sean Dyche seeks to add some pace to his newly promoted Clarets, as reported by MailOnline.
The 19-year-old is a product of Southampton’s hugely successful youth academy but joined Leeds last year as Brian McDermott looked to develop him a future star at the club.
But McDermott’s departure and the recent change in ownership at the club resulted in the pacy American being released this summer.
But Premier League new boys Burnley have offered him the chance to take a step up from the Championship, with Dyche hoping to improve his side’s attacking options ahead of what is expected to be a difficult first season back in the top flight.
If Ariyibi impresses enough during his trial to earn a contract at Turf Moor, he will be the Claret’s seventh summer signing following the arrivals of Marvin Sordell, Steven Reid, Matt Gilks, Matty Taylor, Lukas Jutkiewicz and Michael Kightly.
