Much has been made of Didier Drogba’s first game against Chelsea since leaving the club in 2012.
And Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has never hidden away from how close the two of them are as friends and professionals, and famously wrote a cringeworthy note in the Ivorian’s autobiography.
On the back of Mourinho’s soppy confessions in the note, it was always going to be an emotional and romantic reunion at the Turk Telekom Arena as Galatasaray hosted the Blues in the Champions League.
I have a feeling it could be even more emotional at Stamford Bridge for the second-leg, though.
