The Cottagers are currently languishing inside the Premier League’s bottom three positions, with relegation a genuine worry in West London.

Rene Meulensteen has recently been appointed to work with martin Jol in a bid to turn things around at Craven Cottage, and it is believed that the pair are ready to delve into the transfer market.

The newly arrived Dutchman used to coach at United, and Fulham are hopeful that they can use his links with the Red Devils to snap up the duo for the remainder of the season.

Both players are currently on the fringes of David Moyes’ squad, and it is thought that he is willing to listen to sensible offers.

Zaha is widely expected to leave Old Trafford on loan in the New Year in a bid to gain regular experience after failing to force his way into the first-team since his summer arrival.

Anderson is also thought to be free to leave, and Moyes may feel the Brazilian could showcase his skills on a temporary move away from United to boost the club’s chances of selling him next year.

Could Wilfried Zaha and Anderson be the difference for Fulham?
