Poor crowds for 7 years! We averaged 27000 in the third division. Every team is taking points of each other at the moment.Blackpool played us off the park but I bet we'd give them a game if we played them now. Also, we never struggled against Everton with an unusually small crowd for such a high profile game. I think we are holding our own and when, not if the takeover happens I'm sure the crowds will rise substantialy and with the crowd fully behind the team who knows! Keep the faith.

Let's try not to get so worked up about this. Neil is doing a great job and it just goes to show what a good manager can get out of his players. The Blackburn and Hull matches were actually great and matches that really we only lost through bad luck. Our team was still getting to know each other and now their gelling together they're playing like true warriors. Of course investment will help but give Neil a big pat for what he's achieving so far.

I was really surprised we did so well against Wolves and Forest, but we have looked very poor at times against the better sides. We will realistically finish in the top 12, but to finish top 6 means to finish above a lot of sides I can't in all honesty say we're better than. and even then top 6 guarantess nothing. We will continue to struggle at Elland Road, where crowds have been poor for 7 years, due to the sheer number (often 20,000) of empty seats

Deluded optimism. There is not a cat in hell's chance of promotion without the investment. The squad needs 2 or 3 decent players now in the emergency window and then the 2 or 3 "stella'' signings that Warnock expected in the summer in addition to those he did sign. Then we would have a chance of promotion. Warnock is great and will do the job with the right tools. The team is on a great run and have been magnificent but to think this can continue without additions is blind faith of the highest order - I really hope you are right though!

Steve, I understand where you're coming from, but as ianlufc says, it's a little early to be too optimistic. We've had too many false dawns, where the team seems to be coming together, only for that momentum to be lost within a relatively short period of time. A full season needs a strong squad to maintain that momentum and, even though the current players are coping with the games, the squad has not enough strength in depth for around 50 matches. The big test will come in January, when we'll see if the board really will back the manager with the needed cash. Next year the Premiership pays the clubs in the division 70% more than this year due to the TV rights being renewed. We rerally need to get in this year, otherwise the gap will open up between the top 2 divisions even more.

I know it's a bit premature, given that we've only won three on the trot, but at least reading this kind of stuff instils you with a bit of optimism. Good on ya!
