No real ‘news’ on the pitch to be honest. Poor decisions when originally laying it, sub-standard maintenance, and a lot of unfavourable weather has just led to it becoming unplayable recently. I don’t think it can be fixed until the summer unfortunately.
Agree about Phillips playing on the right. I’m not a fan of wingers playing on the ‘wrong’ wing. If we were to start a proper striker, I think they would thrive from crosses, so Ince and Phillips should be on the left and right respectively.

in particular: 1. we think that its the colour that makes refs award decisions against us – tangerine is seen as aggressive. 2. for all his silky skills GTF adds no further element when you have Gomes or Angel in midfield – i would drop him. 3. when are we going to play a striker?. 4. i think Matt Phillips can be terrific – so why can’t he play on the right and run at the defences? – but he needs to toughen up and tackle/challenge. 5. i like Basham, but think he is out of position – Baps has had 2 bad games at right back, time for a change..

maybe there has been some news that i have missed, but i cannot understand why the pitch is so bad – 2 weeks to fix it – i wonder whether anyone will spend the money needed?
