Capital One provide fans with free coaches due to run of away fixtures.

Middlesbrough fans travelling to the club’s Round 5 Capital One Cup fixture with Swansea City in South Wales on Wednesday 12th December will have the opportunity to have their journey paid for by the competition’s title sponsors.

The Teessiders have been drawn away from home a remarkable twelve consecutive times in the League Cup, with fans clocking up almost 3,500 miles since their last home tie in August 2008.

To ease the travel stress, Cup sponsors, Capital One are rewarding fans by funding the official club coaches for the 640 mile round trip from the Riverside Stadium to the Liberty Stadium.

Boro’s former England defender Jonathan Woodgate said: “This is a great gesture from Capital One and I’m sure that our fans will be very grateful. Being drawn away twelve times in a row has been hard for our fans but they’ve never wavered in their support for the team.”

Michael Woodburn, Chief Marketing Officer at Capital One, said: “Boro’s run of away games is unprecedented in the history of the competition, and as the sponsor of the Capital One Cup we wanted to reward their loyal fans for yet another journey on the road.”

For fans to claim their free seat, they are advised to contact the Middlesbrough FC Ticket Office on 0844 499 1234. The offer is subject to availability with 196 places available across four official coaches.
