Hatem Ben Arfa is set to leave Newcastle United in the summer, according to the Daily Mirror.
The French winger is set to be one of a number of players to be shown the exit door in the summer, after a disappointing season at St James’ Park.
Newcastle have suffered a dramatic slump in form since the turn of the year, with many pointing to the sale of influential midfielder Yohan Cabaye in January as a turning point.
The Magpies have suffered back-to-back 4-0 defeats, with the latest coming at home to Manchester United on Saturday.
In fact, the Toon have conceded 11 goals in their last three games without reply, results that have put the pressure on manager Alan Pardew following his infamous headbutt on Hull City’s David Meyler in March.
Other French players who could reportedly be set to join Ben Arfa in leaving Newcastle are Sylvain Marveaux, 27, and Gabriel Obertan, 25.
Newcastle currently occupy ninth spot in the Premier League, with 46 points from their 33 league games this season, whilst Pardew has admitted he is already looking ahead to rebuilding his side in the summer.
