Despite financial issues, QPR are still looking to make some additions to their squad in this window and Jimmy-Floyd Hasselbaink could do a lot worse than making Ravel Morrison one of his primary targets.

Morrison has had a pretty troubled career, but his superb talent cannot be in question and it looks as though he might be available once more.

We are all expecting that Charlie Austin will be subject to interest from several Premier League clubs and the London club should be making sure that they add to their squad to counter-act any possible sales during this window.

QPR currently lie in the bottom half of the Championship and are, surprisingly, more likely to face a relegation battle than a promotion charge.

Their awful form since Hasselbaink took charge is of quite a concern and it looks like the ex-Chelsea centre forward is going to struggle to replicate his successes of Burton Albion.

Here are FIVE reasons Hasselbaink must look to add Ravel Morrison...

Bye Bye Charlie

Queens Park Rangers v Aston Villa - Barclays Premier League

If Charlie Austin is to leave, QPR will need to bring in some reputable reinforcements to keep their squad at the sort of strength to regularly compete in the Championship.

The loss of a striker of such quality may mean that the club needs a dash more creativity to supply for players who are far less efficient in front of goal.

A step above

Ravel Morrison (QPR)

In terms of Championship football, Ravel Morrison is just a class above.

His consistency might come into question, but the ex-Hammer is clearly far too talented to be lingering in the bottom half of the Championship.

Moments of Magic

Spurs 0-3 West Ham: Ravel Morrison scores

As Morrison showed us, he can be responsible for some truly wonderful moments in his career and he is the sort of player who can lift a whole team with a piece of magic.

Much like a goal he scored for West Ham a season or two ago, or a vine of a special flick in training, Morrison has the kind of enigmatic character that makes him such a threat.

Some Taylor Swift song..

Ravel Morrison

The relevance to Swift isn't actually that strong, shockingly, but Ravel Morrison is still only 22 and it seems as though a lot of people have forgotten that during the last season or two.

Players who break through so early on tend to get forgotten about far too soon, but QPR must be aware that Morrison still has his best years ahead of him.

Out of favour

Ravel Morrison

Morrison, as seems to happen everywhere he goes, has never really settled at Lazio and you would imagine that he would be open to a move at the moment.

It might suggest that Morrison is finally ready to make somewhere his regular home and QPR could be that place.
