QPR have agreed to sell Adel Taarabt to AC Milan this summer, according to the player’s agent.
The Championship club have loaned Taarabt out to Fulham and currently AC Milan, whilst they challenge to get back into the Premier League. But whether they earn promotion or not, Taarabt will not be going back to England:
“Milan will take up their option and there is already a deal between the two clubs to sign him at the end of the season for a reasonable, symbolic price,” said agent Vincenzo Morabito to Goal.com.
“It won’t be any more than €3 million (£2.5m) or €4 million (£3.3m). It would mean something extraordinary if that didn’t happen.”
Milan have struggled this season, and have called upon former player Clarence Seerdorf to try and steer the club back onto straighter paths. Taarabt has been useful for the club since arriving in the winter transfer window, scoring 2 goals from 7 league appearances.
QPR missed out on the chance to close the gap between themselves and 2nd place Burnley on the weekend. Burnley lost at home to Leicester, but Harry Redknapp’s men could only draw at home to Blackpool, meaning they are 9 points adrift of the Automatic promotion places.
The club are 10 points above 6th and should comfortably finish in the playoffs. But Taarabt it seems will not be returning to the club this summer, no matter where QPR finish.
