Brentford striker Scott Hogan has been a key target for West Ham this entire January but right at the last minute, the Hammers have decided against bringing him to London Stadium.

It is now believed the two teams left in the race for the striker are Aston Villa and Crystal Palace. Both would arguably represent a step up for the 24-year-old and some reports claim Championship club Villa are the favourites for his signature.

Hogan has netted 14 times for the Bees this season and is a typical fox in the box style font man, with all of his Championship goals coming from inside the 18-yard box this term.

But if he was given the choice between the two clubs today, who should he choose to join? Palace offer Premier League football, which is what Hogan wants, but their top-flight status remains in the balance and he could end up back in the second-tier come the end of the campaign.

Villa is a big club with great tradition, and Steve Bruce is doing all he can to orchestrate a promotion push this season and Hogan could provide the goals to boost their chances during the second half of the campaign.

There are pros and cons to both moves, but where do you think he should end up by 11pm tonight?
