Everton booked their place with Crystal Palace in the FA Cup semi-finals with a 2-0 win against Chelsea at Goodison Park.

Despite a fiery and cagey first 45 minutes, the second half vastly improved and the quality increased as the game wore on, led by the Toffees' Romelu Lukaku.

With 15 minutes to go, the Belgian powerhouse showed his strength against the club who thought he wasn't good enough, shrugging off challenges from Branislav Ivanovic, Cesar Azpilicueta and Gary Cahill before producing a fantastic finish.

The former West Brom loanee then got his brace five minutes later - beating the offside trap and blasting an effort through the legs of Thibaut Courtois.

That was not the end of the drama as the controversial Diego Costa appeared to bite Gareth Barry after a cynical challenge from the former Aston Villa midfielder and was given his marching orders by referee Michael Oliver. Barry himself then accumulated two bookings and was sent for an early bath after an obstruction on Cesc Fabregas.

With all the drama came plenty of reaction via the wonderful world of Twitter.
