Chelsea Football FanCast 046

  • Length: 45:57 minutes (42.07 MB)
On this week’s Chelsea Football FanCast Chidge and the boys are joined by special guest Michael Roban, all the way from Los Angeles via New York. Michael takes the “60 second fan” challenge and then explains how he became a Chelsea fan in 1987 when he accidentally ended up going to the Bridge to watch Chelsea play West Ham after getting drunk in the White Horse pub – proper Chels! Chidge quizzes Michael on what it’s like to support Chelsea from afar in pubs like Nevada Smiths in New York and the Fox and Hounds in LA. Suffice to say a little bit different from the Malster and the Imperial! The boys then tuck into the main feast of the 5-0 thumping of Miserableborough whilst munching on pizza washed down with Guinness, which accounts for the unintelligable nature of the discussion! Either way, the ‘Phil’ good factor is applauded as are Kalou and the soon to be cult Chelsea figure of Ju-liano Ba-lletti! Michael tells us about his first experience at the Bridge in 1987 and what it’s like to hug a bloke you’ve never met before (thanks to Pat Nevin!) in “Tales from the Shed”. In “You’re on CFFC”, big shouts go out to the British Forces in Cyprus and Neil Morden in Australia who wonders who was the hairiest Chelsea player of all time. The boys also mull over the problem with Chelsea’s number 7’s and what our best starting XI is. All this and more on the only Chelsea podcast fuelled by Pizza and Guinness!! UTC! <<
