Chelsea Football FanCast 047

  • Length: 41:21 minutes (37.85 MB)
On this week’s Chelsea Football FanCast Chidge and the usual suspects attempt to excorcise their demons having suffered the pain of defeat against the Mickey Mousers. The blame is laid squarely at the feet of Malouda, Anelka and Kalou for not being able to hit a cow’s arse with a banjo! Mind you, the green shirted Referee Howard Webb took ‘rub of the green’ rather too literally by giving Liverpool more than a helping hand. Ultimately the boys have to admit, no matter how sickening, the Scousers actually made a decent fist of it. Didier Drogba come back all is forgiven!! Chidge reviews “Chelsea’s Perfect 10”, written by Neil ‘the Spy’ Barnett – he of the pitchside “Salomon…Kalouuuuu”. We chew over the 10 Chelsea legends chosen by Neil and add in a few suggestions of our own, strangely neglecting the bona fide claims of Robert Fleck and Slovana Jokanovic!! Talking of legends, we discuss the 1986 Full Members Cup final programme, sent in by one of our listeners and gasp in horror at some of the fashions and haircuts of the era. Chel Tel – now there’s a man who knows a thing or two about fashion – tells us about how he got on board the WAGs bus to that Wembley final. Neither have ever recovered. And talking of Full Members, on ‘You’re on CFFC’ we name check one of our contributors - John Thomas - and as a result the show degenerates into a discussion about how this might relate to the Chelsea players. As always in these situations we blame the Normans (Chris and Stu) who deny any link to Frenchmen (playing or non-playing) preferring to trace their lineage to the Vikings. If you believe that you’ll believe anything. Allez Les Bleus!!! <<
