Chelsea Football FanCast 050

  • Length: 38:37 minutes (35.35 MB)
On this weeks Chelsea Football FanCast Chidge is inexplicably absent, but Martin is thrust into the breach and joined by Chel Tel and the Blues brothers, Stu & Chris. They ask the serious question “Where’s Chidge?” and invite suggestions. The lads consider the Burnley debacle, and wonder whether defeat in the Carling Cup was really a bad thing. The now familiar bounce-back, away at The Hawthorns, where the 15-minute destruction of the Baggies once again restored the Blues to their rightful place, top of the league and ‘aving a laugh, also comes under the spotlight. The remarkable form of Nicolas Anelka, no less than seven goals in three games, receives due adulation. The visit of Newcastle next weekend at god’s chosen time for football, 3 p.m. on Saturday, is discussed. In “Tales from the Shed” Chel Tel tells us more about the Cup Winner’s Cup final in Stockholm (no carrots involved this time). In “You’re on CFFC “ we consider the reaction to the Carling Cup defeat and question the team selection. We also invite further discussion of the potential move south of the river. great podcast guys, 1st time

great podcast guys, 1st time writing in but in the podcast i was thinking about the Ferrera (sorry i cant spell) and think whoever said that didnt see last season, anyway just wondering who you would buy for Chelsea if you were Scolari, I think apart from a Maluda (again can't spell) replacment i think we are fine. Also i hear Jose might come to Man city, do you think it would work?

Tore, Tore Andre Flo, Tore,

Tore, Tore Andre Flo, Tore, Tore Andre Flo...never thought you'd listen to our podcast, let alone comment on it. Thanks for your kind words anyway. We weren't knocking Ferreira - we all remember the 2007 Cup final when we beat ManUre. He had not-the-real-Ronaldo tucked in his pocket the whole game. He's not, however, a great attacking player. Perhaps it was due to the Mourinho system, but he rarely goes forward. He hasn't had much of a look in under Scolari. As for new players in January, we wouldn't need anyone if all the squad were fit, but as we all know that's not the case. Possibly a replacement for Malouda? He'd fetch a good price. For once we have a surplus of right backs, so we might see either Paolo or Belletti sold - it would be sad to see either of them go, but times are hard! It could create a slot for Michael Mancienne too. KTBFFH!
