A terrible performance at Barca and a terrible result at the Bridge. Not the best start to our 'crucial' week. As a United fan, semi final disapointment is something that dare I say it? getting used to. Will Ronaldo's penalty be the moment where our season imploded? score draw United out on away goals is the only thing I can think of.
At Chelsea in the first half we were second to the ball and outplayed, yet had a couple of great break aways and if Nani hadn't been so wasteful we could have even stolen a goal. Losing Vidic in the first half was massive- it changed the game plan and forced a sub that we would never have made. Then we get back into the game with a great goal (good fortune) we are upset again by an injury.
To prevent this Season from turning into a massive 'if only' United need to improve as an attacking unit, and their luck needs to improve whether that be having a fully fit team or get a penalty when they deserve it....
