Bolton
Wanderers midfielder Kevin Nolan says he is more than happy with his
performances, despite having yet to find the net in the Premier League this
season.
The
26-year-old's only strike of the campaign came in the Carling Cup defeat by
Northampton Town, but Nolan believes he has improved his all-round game.
He told the club's official website: "Personally I'm delighted with my performances this year and I think that I have come on a bit more as a player.
"I've had more of a major role in getting hold of the ball and just not worrying solely about being a final third player.
"I've contributed more to the defensive side of the team and in terms of getting hold of the ball and helping things to develop in the midfield area of the pitch.
"I've always wanted to do that and, with no disrespect, that's because there have always been more experienced players in that part of the team when I was younger.
"But I know the goals will come because I believe I was one of those players who was born to score goals.
"My time will come and I know I'll have that run where I will score five or six goals, so I'm not too worried."
