Myers mulls over the daily rumours and rumblings
If there is one thing that will be a certainty, come
pre-season, then it will be that Tottenham will have some new goalkeepers at
the football club. Paul Robinson's body language in the parade on Sunday suggested
a man who no longer has a future at the club and Radek Cerny has made it known
that he will be joining Queens Park Rangers in the coming weeks.
Every given day Spurs are being linked with different stoppers
from around the globe like, Gomes, Kameni, McGregor and even Carlo Cudicini has
been muted - all excellent keepers, but who are Spurs likely to bring in?
In today's reports in the Daily Mail it suggests that Spurs are set to make an audacious swoop for Manchester City's Joe Hart, who has recently turned down a new deal to stay at Eastlands. Hart is a fantastic talent and has just been called up to Fabio Capello's squad this week but he, like many others, has grown disillusioned at City following the of field problems with Thaksin and Sven. The report suggests that the new bleached blond Paul Robinson will be used as a makeweight in the deal with the club and the whole cost of the transfer will be in the region of £10m.
Given Joe Hart's outstanding form this season, is he the type
of signing that would be welcomed? Would Spurs fans rather see a keeper with a
bit more experience, like a Gomes or a Kameni? Who would you like to see as the
new No.1 at White Hart Lane?
