The £5m 'striking' solution that is staring the Spurs boss in the face

Football FanCast reporter Juan Vasquez feels that Spurs' striking problems are staring Ramos in the face and he just needs to give Dos Santos his chance to shine.

One thing that never ceases to amaze me is how quickly supporters are dismissive of players, because they fail to make an instant impact. I look back at Tottenham in the last 25yrs and I can make a list as long as your arms of players who have taken months before they finally settle into the team. Unfortunately that is sometimes the case and in all honesty Ramos' tactics have done little to help them to adjust, therefore I have a lot of sympathy with the new arrivals at the Lane.

You don't put square pegs in round holes and with the exception of Gomes and Pavlyuchenko; all of them have had to take on alien roles. I don't quite understand how this benefits them individually, who are still trying to get use to playing with their new teammates and are constantly herded into different positions - it is like Ramos is doing what we have all tried on ‘Championship Manager' over the years in trying to find a winning system at all costs, which inadvertently is having a detrimental effect on the team. We know the gifts that Bentley possesses, we are fully aware of Modric's talents, so why try and turn them into different players - it really doesn't make sense to me.

I think what bemuses us neutrals about your football club is the sheer volume and depth of quality at Ramos' disposal and his failure to utilise it accordingly. I don't know how many people were aware of Giovani Dos Santos before he arrived in England, but this guy is hot property. It is an absolute travesty that the Mexican isn't a regular starter in that Tottenham team and it really makes no sense to exclude him, especially with the team crying out for a spark in the final third.

Dos Santos has the complete game, should be playing as a withdrawn striker and he will cause mayhem to Premier League defences. Twenty minute cameos here and there are doing nothing for the player and therefore hardly endearing him to the Spurs supporters, who probably see him as something of a dud. Have you ever wondered why Dos Santos constantly has to justify to the media as to why he is happy at the club and in time things will come good? It is because there is dismay in the European press as to why Dos Santos isn't getting the games, given that he only quit Barcelona for first team football. Juande Ramos has the potential solution to the clubs striking problems staring him in the face and it's time the Spaniard put his faith in him - he could well save him his job.

Definitely worth a go up

Definitely worth a go up there, I cannot understand why Ramos has used him so sparingly, especially given his glowing reputation at Barca

Totally agree about the

Totally agree about the positioning of our new players as for Dos Santos, I think he maybe to lightweight to play upfront.

He played in the majority of

He played in the majority of the friendly's behind the striker and this seemed to work well!!! He should at least be left wing!!!!

Defies logic why Ramos plays

Defies logic why Ramos plays players out of position, team shud be gomes hutton/corluka king/corluka woodgate bale midfield of bentley modric jenas/zokora lennon and 2 from pav bent gio and campbell injuries/form taken into account. january investment would be a cb to cover king a defensive midfielder,a proper left midfielder and another striker

Championsip manager

Championsip manager fool-proof formtion=4-3-2. It's alright to look avrage when you first joi a club and then get better. But when you look awful, it's rare that you turn into a great player. Dos santos admttedly doesan't look awful, but not far from it. Absolutely no end-product at all. Not as bad as Gilberto-he is an absolute donkey of a footballer-he is on par with Toda and Trammezzani as one of the worst Spurs players of all time .

Have you been to any games

Have you been to any games and watched this guy? He is not actually that good. He was played in the role in one of our first games and never got near to his stike partner so was subed. Its not the solution... We need a forward who can hold the ball up plain and simple.

Stick Adel Taarabt up front

Stick Adel Taarabt up front as an out and out striker - he wont have to worry about being greedy in that role and can hammer it with both feet. He can go past any player in the PL, is solid physically and one of the most gifted natural talents ever to play the game. Remember the impact he had againt West Ham when he first came on as a sub? Sensational. Give him a go, God knows, we have nothing to lose.

As ramos, likes to play,

As ramos, likes to play, players, out of there natural positions, he should give tom huddlestone, a start up front with dos santos, what have we got to lose, we need a big presence up there and he has a great shot on him, plus great control,go on ramos give it a go!

I WOULD LIKE TO SAY I AGREE

I WOULD LIKE TO SAY I AGREE WITH WHAT YOU SAY, I THINK RAMOS MAYBE A GOOD TACTITION BUT HIS SELECTION IS TOTAL RUBBISH. ZIKORA PLAYED HIS BEST GAME WEEK BEFORE LAST, HE GOT SUBED, GARETH BALE SAME AGAIN, JERMAIN JANUS TOTALY OUT OF SORTS AND PLAYS EVERY GAME, TOM HUDDLESTONE, WHO FOR ME COULD BE THE NEXT GLEN HODDLE, BUT WITH BITE, SANTOS SHOULD BE UP ALONGSIDE BENT, WITH BENTLEY COME DOWN THE RIGHT WING, BALE AT LEFT BACK, IN THAT POSITION HE IS SUPPOSED TO BE THE BEST IN THE COUNTRY, WITH OUR VERY OWN JAMIE O HARA IN AT LEFT MIDFEILD, WHICH LEAVES A PLACE FOR MODRIC OR LENNON, THATS OUR STRONGETS MIDFIELD, WITH BENT AND GIO UP FRONT, AT THE BACK KING OR CORLUKA, WITH WOODY, GUNTER ON THE RIGHT, AND STICK WITH IT, GIVE THEM TIME TO GELL, YOU COULD WIN THE LEAGUE WITH THOSE GUYS ALOUD TO PLAY, RAMOS YOU ARE REALLY NOT TRYING, BREWERY AND GETTING DRUNK COMES TO MIND WHEN I SEE HOW YOU ARE MANAGING. COME ON MAN WE ALL WANT YOU TO DO WELL, IT CANT BE THAT HARD WHEN YOU LOOK AT THE SQUAD, PLAY YOUR PLAYERS IN THEIR POSSISION PLEASE, LOVE YOU
