Starting with their unforgettable 3-2 at Anfield as both sides honed in on the 2013/14 title, Liverpool vs Manchester City has become a key fixture on the Premier League calendar, consistently providing goals, controversy and decisive wins - the two clubs haven't drawn in their last eight meetings.

They face each other again at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday, separated by just one point and one place in the Premier League table before the weekend, and look set for another entertaining clash as Pep Guardiola and Jurgen Klopp continue their emphasis on energetic, attacking football.

And with so little to choose between the Reds and the Citizens these days, we asked City fans earlier this week to vote for which Liverpool stars they'd like to see Guardiola swoop for in the summer transfer window.

The results of our exclusive poll are now available, so here's a rundown of the top three.

3. Philippe Coutinho

We simply haven't seen the best of Philippe Coutinho since his return from injury at the start of 2017 but the Brazil international has proved the difference for Liverpool on countless occasions before and his proficiency from long range makes him a real match-winner. Technically adept too and certainly not afraid of putting in mileage off the ball, he'd fit well into Pep Guardiola's Man City side - although whether he'd actually get into it over the likes of Kevin De Bruyne and David Silva remains open to debate.

2. Roberto Firmino

Hard working, versatile, physical and inventive, Roberto Firmino offers many appealing traits that would land him a role in most Premier League sides, whether it's as striker, support act or out wide. He's been jostled around Liverpool's attack this season but has still managed to provide nine goals and four assists, whilst maintaining consistently solid link-up play with the likes of Coutinho, Sadio Mane and Adam Lallana. It's not often you describe a striker as an unsung hero but the often overlooked Firmino may well have a case for such status.

1. Sadio Mane

It probably comes as no surprise Mane has clinched top spot, considering the rip-roaring form he's been in since moving to Anfield from Southampton last summer. Many doubted whether the Senegal attacker could produce the goods at the top level but he's been Liverpool's most consistent supplier of goals this term, claiming twelve in the Premier League alongside five assists. Quick, powerful, industrious and clinical, he'd be perfect for providing Guardiola's City side with width and netting prowess. Based on current form, some City fans might even prefer him to ex-Red Raheem Sterling.
