Whether Stoke fans like it or not, their team have developed a reputation for a more ‘agricultural’ style of play since returning to the Premier League. The Potters have altered their approach this season under Mark Hughes, but the days of long balls and aggressive challenges under Tony Pulis have seen them labelled as a rugby team on many occasions, which has been used by some cheeky Photoshopers on to make this viral image. Arsenal’s Lukas Podolski, Mesut Ozil and Santi Cazorla were not at the time of this picture mocking Stoke, but were instead taking part in a training tie-up with famous Irish side Munster. Whereas the original text read “G’wan Munster”, it has been altered to read “Ready for Stoke”. Lets hope none of Hughes’ men think this is genuine, or the Gunners – who will be in Champions League action once again soon (see below) – may be in for a rough afternoon!
