Bradford City fans who braved the elements to queue for tickets to their clubs highly anticipated Capital One Cup Semi Final clash with Aston Villa were treated to a special surprise from credit card company and League Cup sponsors Capital One. Hundreds of fans joined the queue for tickets and were rewarded with a visit from the club’s most famous fan. Celebrity magician Dynamo joined the queue to keep fans entertained, as Capital One provided fans with free bacon butties and cups of tea.

Capital One stepped in to spread some post Christmas cheer after hearing that fans desperate to get their hands on tickets would be braving the elements and queuing outside Valley Parade from the early hours of the morning on 27th December. The match, the clubs first ever appearance in the League Cup Semi Final, comes after a magical Capital One Cup run which has seen the Bantams defeat Premiership heavyweights Arsenal and Wigan.

Bantams fan Dynamo said:

“I’m definitely feeling the magic of Bradford City’s Capital One Cup run and it was great to come down and entertain the fans. They’ve have been out in force today to get their hands on tickets and it’s great that Capital One recognises this commitment.”

Michael Woodburn, Chief Marketing Officer at Capital One, said:

“At Capital One we know that fans do a lot to support their club and we wanted to reward those loyal fans who have stood for hours in freezing conditions to queue for their tickets. What better way to stay warm than a visit from a surprise guest and a bacon sarnie and a cuppa?”
