As the year draws to a close we take a look at Celtic players that have impressed, improved and just disappointed. With no-one springing to mind immediately there should be some interesting choices. So why not take a read and tell me what you think? There will surely be some controversial picks.

Celtic’s player of 2010 – This one was a struggle to decide as there has been no stand out performers throughout the year. However, after much deliberation I’ve settled with a choice. This year’s award goes to someone who trains hard, is always eager and hungry to win; is a positive person in the dressing room and always leads from the front. If you haven’t guessed it, this year’s player of the year award goes to Scott Brown. Maybe slightly controversial considering the Scotland international has spent much of the year injured, however when the boy plays Celtic seemingly have more intensity and drive and more often get the right results.

Celtic’s most improved player of 2010 – After racking my brains I have decided to go with Ki Sung Yeung. The young South Korean has become a mainstay of the Celtic midfield contributing with goals and adding bite. Known for his vision and technique, as well as the accuracy and range of his set-pieces and passing, he is widely regarded as Celtic’s most improved player of the year.

Celtic’s most disappointing player of the year has to be Joe Ledley. Ledley was widely tipped to join a host of sound English Premier League clubs, so it was surprising to hear he had chosen Celtic in the summer. Everyone thought Ledley was going to show his real worth and help guide Celtic to the league title, however the Welsh international has been quiet and mildly ineffective. Maybe this is just my opinion, but I am yet to see the man that everyone south of the border was raving about when he was being tipped with a move to the likes of Everton and Villa.

So what do you guys think? I am wrong or have I actually hit the nail on the head? Why not comment and shed some light on the situation...
